Endless Split Backup Rings are used to provide added extrusion resistance, and prevent damage to O-rings and seals when subjected to high pressures, larger extrusion gaps, and/or high temperatures. This particular PTFE backup ring has a 30 degree split to facilitate ease of fitment in certain applications.
