Designed to keep dust, dirt, debris and other abrasive contaminants out of ball and roller bearings, LSTO Type NILOS Rings, supplied by NWB, help extend bearing uptime in the harshest operating environments and industries by offering an additional layer of external protection over that provided by standard rubber bearing seals and improving bearing uptime as a result.

Unlike other types of Nilos Rings the LSTO style of Nilos Ring is a non contact, grease filled labyrinth seal. its is made up of steal-seal disks and steel cores which are able to resist axial pressure and slipping when clamped in an axial direction.
