Designed to keep dust, dirt, debris and other abrasive contaminants out of ball and roller bearings, JV Type NILOS Rings, supplied by NWB, help extend bearing uptime in the harshest operating environments and industries by offering an additional layer of external protection over that provided by standard rubber bearing seals, and improving bearing uptime as a result.

Internally sealing or JV Type NILOS Rings are intended to seal the inner roller bearing. The sealing edge will wear a small groove into the bearing ring. This groove acts as a labyrinth seal, fully enclosing the open area of the bearing and preventing both the leaking of lubricant and also the penetration of contaminants into the bearing.
