A Belt Tensioner serves to pull the timing belt. The timing belt runs by the deflection rollers and provides constant tension to the belt. Belt Tensioners are able to dampen belt vibrations while maintaining alignment of the belt which prevents noise and excessive belt wear and optimises the life of the timing belt.
